Life Lately

Wearing:
Irresistible Me Hair Extensions

I've been debating the possibility of hair extensions for a while now. My hair is relatively thin so this has been an idea in the back of my head for a while now. Once I discovered Irresistible Me, I knew I had to have them. When I first tried them, I was nervous to see how realistic they would look. I was very pleasantly surprised with the result!

Watching:
Chrisley Knows Best

Okay… I'm a little (okay a lot!) embarrassed to say how much I've been watching this silly show lately. When I'm stressing, I tend to gravitate more towards "mindless" shows like this. They're quite the entertaining family! If you're looking for this kind of a show, I'd definitely recommend.

Paducah:
Piper's

I stopped in Piper's (a local tea & coffee shop here in Paducah) this past Friday for a meeting about The Wedding Book. While I was there, I decided to order a Matcha Tonic and I'm so glad I did! It's so refreshing and absolutely delicious. I'd highly recommend one for your next visit!

Eating:
Avocados

Over the last few months, I've really tried to re-vamp my diet. I've been more conscious of the foods I'm eating and how they're feeding my body. In the process, I've fallen in love with avocados. They're not just delicious in guacamole, y'all!

Recently I've been sprinkling some truffle salt (this one's my favorite) and drizzling it with a little balsamic (this one is by far the best I've ever tasted!). It's amazing. I'll pair this side with nearly any meal I prepare.

I try to eat at least half of an avocado every day in one way or another. It's completely transformed my skin in the process! Beauty perk!

Drinking:

This past weekend, I spent some time in Nashville with two of my best friends. It was an impromptu weekend getaway and one of my favorite weekends so far this summer! There were several stops along the way through this weekend but Salt & Vine was by far my favorite.

First of all - it's a wine bar! What's not to love!? I've been to several wine bars before but this hit the top of the list. The food, the wine selection and the atmosphere were all an A++. Once you walked in, you were surrounded by all white (or soft neutral) decor pieces with the bright accents in neon yellow chairs. I'm pretty sure that as soon as I walked in, a smile came across my face from that alone.

Next we ordered our first glass of wine and a little something to munch on. If you stop in - you have to order the sour cream and onion chips. The chips are homemade and there's a sour cream and onion dip to pair it with - truly amazing!

Loving:
Girlfriends

just love these two lovely little ladies :). Ya know the girlfriends in your life that have such a wonderful energy to be around? These two had me overflowing this weekend! From the girl talk to the wine tasting, it was truly an amazing weekend. I left Nashville refreshed and ready for the week ahead! It's always great to take a moment and thank those around you that bring out the best in you :)

Listening:
Let Me Touch Your Fire - Arizona

It's no secret to you all that I'm addicted to the Chainsmokers Pandora station. I listen to it all day long while working from home and this song recently came across my radar. It's more of a calm energy but still an update tone. Definitely worth a listen if you're in to this type of music!

Sales:

I'll have a whole roundup of this sale on Friday (it goes public to non-card holders on that day!). If you've never shopped the sale, let me give a brief run down of why this sale is so great. Okay this round up of items is primarily fall pieces that are severely marked down from the retail price. So if you're looking to purchase a few fall staple pieces, this is definitely the sale for me! I'll be shopping for (at least!) a new pair of running shoes and a handbag to carry my into the fall months. Stay tuned for Friday's post! I'll share tons more there.

Wanting:

I have quite the collection of perfumes at home but it's been a while since I purchased a new fragrance. I've had my eye on this one in particular for a while now. Peonies? Check. Blush? Check. If this isn't a 'Kathryn' perfume, I don't know what is!
