Life Lately

Wearing:

You couldn't take these earrings from me if you tried. (I'll fight ya for 'em ;). No, I'm kidding. But I truly cannot get enough of them! If you haven't caught on by now, pale pinks and neutrals are two of my absolute favorite things when it comes to styling.

Now, you pair tassels with my adored pale pink? You've got yourself a match made in heaven for this girl. I'm in love, I'm in love (with these earrings) and I don't care who knows it! ;)

Paducah:
Mellow Mushroom Paducah

Me, oh my. I know for those of you living in bigger cities this doesn't seem like all that big of a deal. But here in Paducah, it's a new addition to one of my absolute favorite historic buildings.

The Coke Plant.

One of my best friends, "Bry Guy" if you follow me on Snapchat ;) worked on this building from the very, very beginning. Hearing his story of what it looks like when he walked in two years ago to what it looks like now, it is truly an amazing story. We are a tiny little town here in Paducah. But the growth that's happening within the community is intoxicating.
Eating:
"The Burger"
(the freight house)

Oh. My. Gosh.

Y'all. This burger is everything. It doesn't hurt that it's from one of my favorite restaurants here in Paducah either. The Freight House is truly one of a kind - the menu changes every week leaving you guessing for what's coming next. This farm-to-table restaurant is a must have. And this burger is a must order while you're there! ;)
Loving:
Quality Time

What is life without the people in it? These past few weeks I've been lucky enough to spend time with my sweet and loving family as well as getting to know friends just a little better. The two snapshots above depict that perfectly! I feel very blessed to have the people in my life. I couldn't ask for anything more! 2017 is off to a running start.
Listening:
We Built This City - Starship

Don't laugh, you guys! I'm crazy about some throw backs lately. Does anyone here listen to the Spotify station "Have A Good Day!"? If not, go now. Even if you aren't having a bad day, this station is sure to life you right up.

Well this track in particular seems to be a reoccurring jam in my car as of lately ;). I may or may not be practicing my karaoke skills!
Reading:
The Journey Within: Living After Loss

My Grandma wrote a book!

I could not be more proud of the woman in this photo. She is such a wise, insightful Grandma and I'm beyond blessed to call her my own. No matter if your loss in life is a divorce or a human being, grab this book to read.

If you live in the Cape Girardeau area, make sure to stop by her Barnes n' Noble book signing on March 4th! It's from 11-2.

Quoting:
"All I know for certain is that this is how I want to spend my life - collaborating to the best of my ability with forces of inspiration that I can neither see nor prove nor command nor understand. It's a strange line of work admittedly. I cannot think of a better way to pass my days."
Elizabeth Gilbert in Big Magic

My boss sent me this quote in the wee hours of the morning a few weeks ago. Something about it really resonated with me. I live for the collaborations I've been able to take part in here in Paducah. Two of my favorites to collaborate with are undoubtably Rachael Houser (photographer) and Erin Hendley (makeup artist - FACE Makeup Artistry).

The collaborations themselves are always so fun but what I really love is the wine and girl talk after. (What girl doesn't love that?!) Getting to toss around ideas with these two girls is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Love, love, love!
Watching:
Vanderpump Rules

Eek! Don't laugh too hard, dolls. In the morning when I'm throwing on all my makeup and getting ready for the day, I'll always have something playing in the background on TV. This has been a favorite of mine lately. It's definitely a guilty pleasure but my, oh my is it entertaining!

I live for BaubleBar's statement jewelry. Ever since college, I've been smitten with mostly everything that they put out. For this weekend, you can grab their statement pieces (everything from rings to necklaces) up to 70% off. Definitely check it out!
Wanting:

The other morning I was rummaging through the New Arrivals at Nordstrom and stumbled upon this gem. You guys. It is everything you could want in a little spring/summer dress and more. Absolutely stunning! Plus it has enough of a flow to it where you can stay comfortable even in the summer heat.

Drinking:

I realized the other day that I've never shared with you all my beer of choice from Dry Ground! If you follow me on Snapchat, you know that this is a frequent local stop of mine. I'll oftentimes meet friends for drinks after work to catch up over a beer or two.

Now, I will say that I am not a big "beer person". However I do love to #DrinkLocal and #SupportLocal so you'll find me here quite often ;). This is a great beer for those of you who might not be too keen on the idea of an ice cold beer. Definitely worth a try!
