Me, Myself, and I

These are a few of my favorite things

The past couple of posts I’ve been sharing with you a few of my favorite fashion bloggers.
While that tells you some of the people that have inspired the start to my blog, it doesn’t tell you all that much about my personal style.
Today, I decided to share a little more about what makes my style personal to me.

( Travel )

Take off on a jet plane

"Ah, the smell of salt and sand.
There is no elixir greater on this blessed Earth like it."

"A bad day in Paris is still better than a good day anywhere else."

"The best things in life are free.
The second best are very expensive."
-Coco Chanel

Starting with trips to Hawaii when I was a little girl, my family has always loved to travel. Our trips to the beach are some of my happiest memories. The sun on my skin and the sand between my toes is where I am the happiest. Since those trips as a little girl, my range of travel has grown immensely. It's especially grown in the past year as I've expanded my horizons from beaches to Europe.

Like I said, my family has always loved to travel. This past summer, my mom's side of the family jetted off to explore the island of St. John, U.S.V.I. Wow! We had no idea what we were in for until we cruised into the dock. The entire island and the people on it were fabulous. My personal favorite was arriving at the villa we stayed in for the week. The villa was owned by a local artist on the island. Since he had a part of some of the renovations after he bought the home, every inch of house was touched by his talented hand. Not to mention we had a to DIE for view over the bay we were staying in. I still reflect on the pictures from the trip and they have gotten me through this past year's rough winter weather!

This past spring break, my dad, his fiance, and my boyfriend jetted out to explore the city of love. I had no idea that the week ahead of me was going to expand my world so greatly. It truly inspired me just simply strolling through the streets of Paris and hear the whispers of eloquently spoken French. It's a remarkable experience that I believe everyone should have the opportunity to take in at some point. I'm not going to share all of my love for this city in one post! Paris deserves a post of it's own and you better believe it's coming your way in the very near future.

( Champagne )

Time to drink champagne and dance on the table

Surely I have some fellow champagne lovers out there!
What's not to love with the sparkle of the champagne in a flute, the POP! that comes with opening a bottle expressing excitement for the evening's festivities, or the option of a POP of color with a rosé champagne.  All of these things excite me, you guys!

No matter what the occasion is, champagne is great! Whether it's a new job, a vacation, or the fact that you found a to DIE FOR pair of pumps! Girlfriend, there's no shame in it. Life is made to enjoy every single moment and make the most out of whatever you've been handed. Champagne is my own personal way of adding a little pep in my step or celebrating life's little victories. Love your life and make it fabulous!

( Coffee )

But first, coffee.

Some problems even champagne can't solve.
For those life moments, there's coffee. It saves the day every morning for me! You guys, you wouldn't want to have an interaction with me before I've at least had my first cup of coffee. Ask my roommates! It's true. No talkie before coffee. After that first cup, I'm ready to conquer the world and love life that much more!

There's nothing wrong with a couple of cups in the morning and a Starbucks in the afternoon, right? Right? Well, my doctor might think a little differently. BUT, a college girl like me knows that sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do to get the job done. In the fall months, my classic order is a grande pumpkin spice latte (otherwise known as PSL to my fellow Starbucks fanatics) non-fat no whip. Anybody else share this same order? Thought so. As things start to cool off in the spring and summer months, it transforms into a classic venti iced coffee with 2 creams and 2 Splendas (sometimes 3 depending on what kind of day I've been having). Coffee keeps the world spinning in my eyes.

I hope you guys have a little better idea of who I am and what makes me love my life!
Whether it's a vacation, a Monday night glass of champagne, or a cup of coffee, you can bet I'm doing it with a smile. These are a few of my favorite things! Until next time...
