Flashback ( CARIBBEAN ) Friday

Now that the below freezing weather has set in, I'm in full day dream mode of the saltwater and sand.

Are you all going somewhere to escape this cold weather?
What are some of your favorite vacation spots?!

One of the most breathtaking islands I've ever seen is definitely St. John, U.S.V.I. My mom's side of the family jetted off to here a couple of summers ago and it completely took my breath away.
If you ever have the chance to go, don't pass it up.

Check out some of the photos from our trip here below...

Ready to head off on a jet plane?!
Me too, me too!

I hope that I'm able to see this gorgeous island again sometime.

When we were there, we had the unique experience of renting a house right on the water. There was enough room for each of us to have our own space and also be able to spread out. One of my favorite features was the little beach we had right in front of our house.
Having a mimosa and floating in our little cove was a favorite morning activity of mine.

It doesn't hurt that the house we stayed at was owned and operated by a local artist, Donald Schnell. The details of the house were so intricate. He truly thought of every last detail. Every inch of the house had some sort of special touch from him. The walls had little pieces of art that he had created with his own hands. Also, different parts of the house had been brought in from all over the world. Schnell was kind enough to take the time at check in to walk us through the entirety of the house and explain all of the exquisite detail. It was truly breathtaking.

I hope that this has made your all's chilly Friday just a little bit warmer.
I know that I'm already feeling the warm ocean breeze and the taste of a bubbly mimosa despite the dropping temperatures back here at home.

Happy Friday!
I hope you're able to make it a little cozier :-)
