Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide

Now that {almost all} of the presents are nestled under the tree with care, what on Earth do you stuff those stockings withNot to worry!
I've got ya covered.

There's only so many holiday socks and Reese's trees a girl can have. Adding in a few special items you know you're girl or guy will like is always appreciated! Girls can be so picky but who doesn't love a great new scented candle or faux fur earmuffs?

Below I've attached a few girly stocking stuffers you can snag before Santa comes:
{Not to worry... I've got gifts for the guys attached below as well!}

Holiday Green + Fur

What's the holiday season without a little touch of red and green?

With Christmas morning just a little over a week from now, what better way to celebrate than with some classic Christmas colors? Don't get the wrong idea though. I'm not telling you to throw on your huge holiday sweater with green pants! Holiday color can be celebrated in the simplest of ways.

Take my look below as an example...

Before I throw on layers of baubles from Bauble Bar, an outfit from J.Crew and shoes from DSW, I primp my face. What's a cute outfit without perfect makeup anyways?

Today I've decided to make myself completely vulnerable and show you step-by-step my application of daily makeup. I'm talking from absolutely clean and crisp face to ready for a photo shoot!

Let's Celebrate!

I can't believe the day has come that my blog is 6 months old.
It's so surreal!

Snakeskin + Burgundy

Those temperatures are slowly dropping outside but there are still some days that don't really require wool coats.

After getting into a routine of piling on the layers in the winter, it'll throw a girl off when you pull up Weather Channel to see it's going to be 60° outside. Now that crew neck sweater is going to be just a tad too warm to wear all day. What's a girl to do??

I've got such a simple solution for you all!

Everyone has those simple blouses to wear under blazers or with khakis to wear to work. I threw this simple look together by wearing this snakesprint blouse paired with a puffer vest. Keeps that heat inside while also looking fashionable! This blouse and puffer vest go great with colored pants like I've shown below. Check it out!

All About Dad

Today's post is a mix of sappy and a gift guide!

If you're stopping by to figure out what to buy your beloved Dad, just scroll past these pictures of me and my Dad to find a few ideas! (It can be so tough to find the person who has EVERYTHING a great gift.) I've listed all kinds of ideas of what to buy from espresso machines to scarves.

For those of you here because you want to get to know a little more about me and the man who raised me, check out this little tribute below:

Growing up we had our fair (okay, maybe a little more than fair) share of highs and lows. Today, my Dad and I have never been closer. I talk to him every day sometimes just to say hi and sometimes to talk about how life has thrown me a curve ball and I don't have the slightest idea what to do. Dads deal with a lot when they have daughters. God bless them though. The world wouldn't spin without 'em!

I turn to my Dad for all kinds of advice. As a (soon-to-be) college grad, I have lots of career and life advice to ask from dear ole Dad. He's accomplished so much in his career and in the community and I respect his opinion in guiding my career. Anyone else have that same feeling? It's really great to have a supportive Dad guiding me when I need it.

He has a special way of changing my spirits right around when I'm down on myself. Life's simply too short to harp on the negativity in your life. Some days that's easier said than done. Overall, I find it to be such a good mantra to try and live by though.

Cheers to you, Dad!
48 years young and so much life ahead of you.
I'm proud to be your daughter today and everyday.
I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday!

Live Colorfully

"Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink."
- Lilly Pulitzer

Even if it's just an accent here and there, I really love print mixing and all kinds of color.
It's such a fun way to add to your daily life! In my mind, even the dreariest of days can be fixed with a fun bauble from Bauble Bar, colorful skirt from J. Crew and fun pumps from Nordstrom

Another favorite of mine is to mix casual and chic.
Putting a graphic tee with a fun little pencil skirt is a great way to do this! I added this like lace bomber jacket for an extra little bit of fun in the outfit.

Check out a little bit of this look here:

Navy + Neon

What's the best way to survive the deadly winter weather?
Color blocking of course!

I know it's so easy to get into the routine of your basics and bundling down with a scarf as your accessory for the day! But how fun is this to add a little bit of that color {we all miss so much} from those summer days?!

I've put together the PERFECT little outfit to optimize that color blocking task here below...

Put a Bow On It

Kentucky got a lucky little dose of good weather this weekend and I couldn't be more excited about it!
This meant that I got to break out those lightweight sweaters and toss the big puffer coat to the side for a few days. In celebration of this, I thought that a fun little display of bows was necessary!

During the winter season, I tend to stay with darker colors and a red or vibrant lip. Seriously, if I didn't make myself stray from black or burgundy, I could live in it from November-March.

Check out a little dose of what I'm talking about below:
